About Pink Flamingo Music

Pink Flamingo was established in Sydney in 1990 by George Munoz, beginning with the limited edition reissue of The New Christs, Waiting World. Over the following years, the label produced and distributed releases by Australian independent rock artists on vinyl and CD, while also promoting Australian music internationally through overseas tours.

Beyond the label, George has been closely involved with the Australian independent music scene for decades, documenting bands such as Radio Birdman, The New Christs, Died Pretty, The Lipstick Killers, Stray Cats, The Johnnys, The Bam Balams and many others through his photography.

In 2023, he compiled and published the acclaimed Radio Birdman book When the Birdmen Flew, drawing on decades of photographs, memorabilia and firsthand involvement with the band’s history.
